SKEA 2013-2017 Contract Ratified

The SKEA Membership ratified the 2013 – 17 contract by an 85% vote of the licensed membership.

SKEA and Salem-Keizer Public Schools Reach Tentative Agreement

 

Great News! The SKEA Bargaining Team reached a tentative agreement with the School District. The SKEA Board of Directors made and approved a motion to bring this Agreement forward to the membership with a "do pass" vote.

There have been two surveys for feedback from members. The first survey asked questions about the 2012-13 Concession Agreement. The second survey was crafted to discover member’s priorities for bargaining topics.

Bargaining Update, April 6, 2012

 
The Salem Keizer Education Association (SKEA) and the Salem-Keizer School District (SKSD) bargaining teams met today April 6, 2012, for further concession conversations.  The conversation was very productive and the teams are close to agreement.  Once a tentative agreement is finalized the agreement will be presented by SKEA to  the SKEA Executive Board and will also be voted on by the membership.

MOU Vote Passes

The MOU vote for the $6.1 million dollar package of concession passed with an 81.5% YES and 18.5% NO. A copy of the MOU will be available on our website (www.salemed.org) in the next several days. Thank you for your participation in this process. Please remember, that this result DOES NOT affect the 248 positions that the District has eliminated.
